Hello stranger. You've found this blog somehow. Most likely through some weird coincidence in which your Googling had the perfect keywords to bring you to either this site, this post or a post on this site that led you to want to know more about it. Nonetheless, here you are. Or, the more likely answer, I've sent it to your inbox or dms or texted it to you.

I'm Gaetono, amateur writer. This blog will be a collection of my writings, musing (writing but more ranty), some attempts at serialization and self-promotion, as well as a decent source for updates on homebrew and my Creative Commons work.

About Me

I enjoy writing, reading, playing videogames, and woodworking (current projects is a bedframe). All of these are quite evident in my influences, which I try to keep varied and interesting. Ill make a full list of my influences at some point. I have to thank a lot of my surroundings for this- camping, libraries, and welcoming writing communities have all been a huge benefit to me. Not to mention the multitude of wonderfully taught English lit classes I took. These have all had an impact in the person and writer I am today, and I hope it shows.

One of the things I think should always be included is the first thing you've ever written. I know very well what mine was- Star Wars fan fiction. Yes, I know, but I wasn't 14, I was 11. Even then I was far too self-effacing and judgemental of my own work. I remember clearly the visceral shame of unoriginality, the stinging guilt of wasted time, the disappointment of not expressing the original idea clearly. It was written on 10 pages of yellow paper, and if I didn't give up I would've read it to kindergarteners. It is a huge regret, to this day, that I didn't follow through. It taught me 3 valuable lessons that I carry with me today:

1. Always do your best

2. Never let a work go unfinished

3. Never listen to your own opinion exclusively

I hope to one day impart these lessons into junior writers.

The content you'll find on this blog will (hopefully) be varied and attempt to express my many interests. I don't intend for this post to explain every small bit of my personality and mentality, because if I did that it would imply that I think you should value my opinion higher then anyone else's. I don't. I'm just a person, trying to put out their work in a somewhat visually enticing and easier to find format, and hoping to parlay it into something that will inspire others to pursue their own dreams. But this page is short for a reason. Please, explore the (currently small) amount of posts, comment, suggest, and contact me if you wish to express some opinion or idea better done in a one-on-one setting.

Claspy's Gripping Adventure, Chapter Two

 Chapter 2 - Sticking Your Nose In The manager of the Quick Pick N Stick looks a lot like almost every grocery store manager in existence. His rotund figure and pale white skin are covered by dirt cheap cotton of various primary colors along with well-worn khakis that hang over a fresh pair of Snicker-Doodle Retail Sneakers. A small metal nameplate is tucked into an upper pocket, reading “Greggory Smith.” Sausage fingers flick a small piece of plastic in their pocket over and over, and sweat stands out in rolling rivulets across the sea of forehead they possess. Much like every grocery store manager, they have their fingers in quite a few pies- and not just the ones they sell in the bakery.
